I started my training in 1978 at Selwyn College Cambridge where I studied medical sciences. From there I moved to London to study clinical medicine at Kings College Hospital. After 4 years in London I moved to Rochester in Kent to train as a General Practitioner. This involved one year in general practice, and 2 years in hospital. I then worked as a GP in Kent, and also took maternity leave while I had our four children. Two of our children are now studying at university in the UK. I have a particular interest in womens health issues. I speak some french but I prefer to work only in english as my style of consultation is best in my mother tongue.
